The culture is what fuels this….

Joaquin Tenedora-Forte

June 16, 2016

As you probably know by now there have been a shooting in a gay bar in Orlando Florida Sunday 12 June, which killed 49 individuals. This is the worst mass shooting in American History and the worst terrorist attack since 9/11. As the LGBT community morns the loss of its members. We as a people need to talk about the culture.

Sunday evening, I was watching liberal talker Ceynk Uger of The Young Turks, talking about the massacre and he said an interesting point about the American culture, that the american culture for the most part is anti gay. That the bible has done more harm than good in the lives of the people.

What I mean of that is religion affects mass media and politics, (i hope it did not affect) because America is a secular nation, Since recently the News outlets did not paint the LGBT community in the lightest of brush In movies they are always the laughing stuck from the 60s thru the late 1990s. Even liberal hollywood fall prey to this massive homophobia for off course their profit. No wonder their are people who think that the LGBT community is wrong.

Let us not forget that this culture in his home because according to at least one website he had went to the night club, and he have an account in one dating app. He might be gay or bisexual, and the thing is I felt so sad after I read this, because this is what fuels the kind of rhetoric that certainly is about hate in america and beyond.

This is why crazy people should not obtain a gun, The problem of guns in america is the worse I ever did see, Its gun deaths are off the charts, because they just have politicians who will defend the second amendment to death. Even if as we all know that is what the second amendment is. And then there is Donald Trump what can I say, he is a really bad person.

People died during the deadliest gun massacre in american history. I want to list their names. These are friends. brothers, sisters, This is about the victims not the suspect

My Thoughts On The Bible

Joaquin Tenedora-Forte February 5, 2016

Over the weekend I was watching “Lincoln” an academy award winning film on the great president Abraham Lincoln, and the American Civil War. I notice that the Democratic Party who is the conservatives back then, they are arguing for slavery. Their argument is that gods law i.e. The bible, ‘ they said that this is god’s natural law, and that by arguing against the biblical law that the world Is going to end.

The problem with their argument is that the United States constitution states that the government will not support a particular religious sec. I digress, the bible is wrong about many things. Like for example, homosexuality, how come two people of the same gender can not love each other. They are not even hurting other people, this had been my biggest turn off on Christianity.

The bible is a contradicting book in the old and the New Testament alike. People should not be basing their lives in this 2000 year old holy book. It should be read with a grain of salt. Like a science book from years ago. The thing is that I do not hate the bible or Christianity, I am just pointing out the problematic things in the book.

For me you do not need a holy book to be a good, moral human being, this is not coming from me this is coming from scientists who researched this thing. People should be about look at the bible as well. I do not see the bible as a literal word from god, if it is, then the book will focus on love and not hate. The problem is the this bible is controlling people’s hearts and minds.

Lastly, I urge people to read the whole book and see how pathetic the people who read it is. The bible is written by men of course this will have some mistakes. Finally, people can twist the bible in its heads and see the results that they wanted to read.

Gay parenting: the Jay and Bryan Leffew story….

Joachim Tenedora-Forte
In a recent study done in the university of Oregon that said that children who are raised in a gay household is no less secured and loved than kids who are living with a traditional household. This study is a consolidation of decades long studies on the ‘modern family. In today’s article I want you to meet a wonderful and beautiful real life ‘modern’ family, from Northern California, the Leffew’s, Jay and Bryan and their two beautiful kids Daniel 15 and Selina 10.

When I first watch Jay and Bryan’s YouTube Channel, (Gay Family Values) I am not sure what to think of them and their family. But now I know that this family is like any other family in America, they eat out, they play and most importantly they love each other. I know I can’t convince conservatives who are set in their believes in what a family should look like. But I am here to tell you that their family is as nice of a family as a traditional family is.
In the mid 1990s Jay Foxworthy is a San Francisco police officer who met his spouse Bryan Leffew thru a mutual friend. The two began dating months later. In the mid 2000s they decided to began the adoption process. They were so open about the fact that they wanted kids, no matter whether or not they have a disability or the race of the kids.
When they met their future kids Daniel who has some medical issues due to his mothers drug use while he is in the womb. And his younger sister Selina, Bryan was a little weary of Daniel because he have some major issues. But Jay felt something special, that they are their kids. But before they adopted Daniel and Selina they needed to be foster parents first. Six months later they finalize the adoption.
They rush to marry as soon as they can in 2008. The same year they started their activism because of Proposition 8 in California where the voters stop marriage equality. The Leffew’s posted YouTube videos almost every week during this time. They posted videos of how normal and happy their family is. They created Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving videos. Everyday stuff like tying Selina’s hair and the first day of schools, changing hearts and minds in the process.

Before I know them I am not for gay parenting because I thought it’s unnatural. But now thanks to the internet, the Leffew’s change my minds about the importance of marriage equality and gay families. I want to thank Jay and Bryan for letting me write about them in my blog it’s so much a pleasure.
